A downloadable game for Windows

Cue To Cue is a game that was made for Ubisoft Montreal's massive 10-week game prototype competition: the 2019 Game Lab Competition. In this competition, teams of 8 students from Quebec universities compete to develop a video game prototype, with the help of 2 Ubisoft employee advisors. This year's competition had a theme of "Spectacle" with an added requirement that the game must feature "audience interaction" (meaning those spectating the game through live streaming or some other means must be able to affect the game).

In this game you play as the sole actor in a low-budget one-man stage play; however, the catch is that your audience gets to decide what that play is going to be! You must run around the cluttered back stage environment of the theatre, finding the right props,  placing them on stage, and finally dressing up in costume before the big performance. A time constraint will have you rushing around to meet the desires of your audience and hope to gain their applause.

Working on this project was a great new experience for me. It was the largest team I have worked with on a video game project, and the first one with dedicated roles amongst team members. I acted as the lead designer for the team, which was a departure from my normal role as a core programmer on other projects. It was great to have this new perspective and interact with team members in a different way. Game design and level design tasks had their own unique challenges wholly different from programming, which caused me to push my boundaries and grow my skills.
