Comet Clean-Up was my very first substantial game design project. It was started many years ago over the summer with a group of friends; however, we didn't get far before abandoning it due to a lack of time. I then decided to revisit it on my own a year later and see if I could truly develop it into a more fleshed out game. It is made from scratch using HTML5 and JavaScript. Due to the lack of a game engine being used, I learnt a lot in the process.

The light-hearted premise has you playing as a "Space Janitor" seeking to clean up outer-space from dust and debris; however, you need to be careful as the more debris you collect, the slower you'll move! But don't forget to drop some of that debris behind you when in danger to give yourself an extra boost of speed!

While moving through outer-space you'll need to avoid the asteroids and aliens, while picking up power-ups to aid you. With every level completed, your collected debris will be converted into new powers for your spacesuit, providing you with a unique choice of 3 options every time. In addition, much of the game uses procedural generation to make every level and every play-through much more interesting.
